Cross Light was founded in 1998 as a manufacturer’s representative firm, and quickly became a resource for lighting and rigging expertise in the Midwest. Cross Light was owned and operated by Robin Cross, who retired from running the company in 2022.
Where we are now

​​In 2022 the company became employee owned and operated. To mark the occasion, we officially changed our name to CLI Lighting, Rigging, and Controls. We are committed to being the most trusted partner for specifiers and dealers in our marketplace.  Through our relationships, dedication to continued learning, focus on latest technological innovations, and a passion for all things lighting, we will provide clients with the absolute best solutions for their lighting, rigging, and control projects. We will continue growing as a company to better serve our clients and ensure satisfaction on every project.
